2013 Season Updates!

BASL PRIDE CLASSIC REGISTRATION IS OPEN:
http://bigapplesoftball.com/prideclassic/

Players must sign into the BASL Site to complete registration.

The Big Apple Softball League (BASL) New York City's premier gay softball league, will be hosting the 3rd Annual Pride Classic Softball Friendship Tournament, Gay Pride Weekend (Saturday June 29, 2013).
All games will be played on Randall's Island.

There will be 4 teams representing the colors of the rainbow flag. SPACE IS LIMITED. The teams will be made up of players from all divisions (mixed).

The games will start at 10:30am and end by 3pm. This will not be a double elimination tournament. No awards. Instead all 4 teams will play each other 3 times. Just a social softball event.

Players will register individually and the fee will be $25.

The fee will cover T-shirts, umpires and softballs. All money after expenses will go to the BASL Gay Pride Float and Gotham Softball Classic Tournament fund.

The cap will be at 52 players (4 teams with 13 players per team).

This is for fun and everybody is welcome to play.

The playing rules will be the same as the current BASL rules with the exception 1. The game can end in a tie. 2. If a team bats 13 players or full roster, and an injury occurs and the individual cannot play, there will not be a penalty. The team can bat the remaining players without an out in the line-up.

The idea behind this Friendship Tournament is to play with people in the league and have fun with a few softball games and then enjoy the rest of Pride Weekend.

Game Rainout Status

Today is Sunday, June 16, and all games are on today as schedule.

As of 6/19 3:36 PM.
