Directions to Newtown Fields
BY CAR
From Manhattan: Take the Midtown Tunnel to the BQE.
From the BQE, take the LIE East exit. Continue on the LIE to Exit 19-Woodhaven Blvd.
Turn left onto Woodhaven Blvd., then left onto Queens Blvd. (the Queens
Center Mall will be on your right). Take the next right turn onto 90th Street.
The fields are on your right (behind the mall). There are several parking garages in the area; the
closest one is on the corner of 56th Ave. & 90th Street (the circular building
on the aerial map). Minimum rate is $5.00; higher rates are in effect after
9:00 a.m.
From Brooklyn: Take the BQE to the LIE East. Follow
the remaining directions above.
BY SUBWAY
From Manhattan: Either: Take the Queens-bound E, F
or R train to Woodhaven Blvd./Queens Center Mall. If the E or the F runs
express in Queens, transfer at Jackson Hts.-Roosevelt Ave. for any of the local
trains. Or: take the 7 train to 74th St.-Broadway and transfer downstairs
for any of the Queens-bound local trains on the lower level to Woodhaven Blvd. Exit
the station at Woodhaven Blvd./Queens Blvd. (noted in red on the aerial map), then walk west
along Queen Blvd. (the mall will be on your right) to 90th Street. Turn
right, walk the short block along 90th to the fields (on your right, behind the mall).
From Brooklyn: Take the Manhattan- or Queens-bound F, G
or R train to Woodhaven Blvd. If the F is running express in Queens,
transfer at Jackson Hts.-Roosevelt Ave. for any of the local trains. If the G
train terminates at Court Sq. due to track work, transfer there for the E train. If
the E runs express in Queens, transfer at Jackson Hts.-Roosevelt Ave. for any
of the local trains. Follow the remaining directions above.
